We are both doing well if a little exhausted, he is still figuring out the breastfeeding, but mostly b/c he is just so darn tired. He is so beautiful and I am so proud.

It's May 1st! When the hell did that happen? I have twelve days and counting, the last work schedule I am on is posted and my house is beginning to resemble clean. Wow, how time flies.

So, I believe I have already spoken about the ice damming, the damage to my lovely daughter's carpet and the 800 dollars that the condo association gave us to fix it. So after up and down insisting that we would deliver no earlier than 39 weeks because sometimes babies have issues if taken too early, my fantastic doctor has decided that we should deliver Morgan at 38 weeks 1 day. This is fine with me, I am sure by then I will be at the point where I just want this kid out of me, but five weeks seems so much ( Read more... )

So we went in for a growth checking ultrasound today and the baby is looking fantastic. He still has all the appropriate parts, he is practicing breathing and at 32 weeks he weighs a whopping 4 lbs 7oz. So upon being given advice that I should beef up my baby registry I just spent the last 45 minutes doing so. I am not certain I really need all that stuff, but beefed up it is. I am just hoping this doesn't mean that we won't get the things that we need and instead get all the other stuff that while nice is less crucial. It makes me feel strange.

Today I turn 29. This is the last year of my 20's and I should really give some thought as to what I want to do with it. The obvious is that I am having a baby. I am enormously, ridiculously pregnant and will not really be focusing on much of anything else until the wee bairn is on the outside.
